Introducing DryStrip and ThinStrip

Choose the Product that’s Right for You

Each DryStrip and ThinStrip features concave diagonal flutes on both faces, milled in opposing directions to enhance strength while promoting drainage, airflow, and moisture control. The result is a more durable siding system with improved resistance to moisture and decay.

DryStrip fluted furring strip

DryStrip Mounting System

The DryStrip mounting system reduces fasteners through sheathing for improved air tightness. Made from MSR2400 Southern Yellow Pine for superior strength and fastener retention compared to traditional framing.

Dimensions: 1.5" X 3.5" X 96"

ThinStrip low-profile furring strip

ThinStrip Solutions

Traditional furring strip size for fastening through to sheathing. Low-profile design ideal for siding applications where minimal buildup is required. Suitable for horizontal or vertical installation.

Dimensions: .75" X 1.5" X 96"

Benefits

Improved Drainage & Drying

Water sheds quickly through diagonal fluting, reducing trapped moisture behind cladding.

Reduced Contact Area

Less wood-to-sheathing contact helps limit capillary action and moisture retention.

Job-Site Ready

Available pressure-treated for exterior durability or untreated for interior or controlled applications.

Products

ThinStrip

Optimum Airflow.
Ease of Installation.

Manufactured to be efficient for any siding installation.

ThinStrip™ is a premium choice due to its added breathability and drainage.

ThinStrip™ allows air to flow freely between the exterior cladding and the sheathing. Mold issues are abated, and siding is permitted to equalize, resulting in longer lasting siding.

Effortless mounting. Superior airflow. Reduced moisture.

Structural Consistency

A stud-mounted furring system for high performance wall assemblies.

DryStrip is designed to be anchored only at the studs, creating a structural wood substrate for siding attachment.

By separating structural attachment from cladding attachment, DryStrip reduces the total number of fasteners penetrating the air barrier, water-resistive barrier, and sheathing. This limits potential pathways for moisture intrusion and reduces unnecessary thermal bridging at fastener locations.

No additional clips. No specialty hardware. Just a clearer load path and a cleaner wall assembly.
